To ensure a home is move-in ready for individuals using a VA home loan, the Department of Veterans Affairs may require a termite inspection before closing. In Wisconsin, a pest inspection is required in the following counties: 

Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Kenosha, Lafayette, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Richland, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha

If your county of residence is not listed, an appraiser may still require an inspection.
